Six weeks ago, on a Saturday night our six month old Cocker Spaniel was
barking at the back door. My husband let him out with a "what was that?"
as the puppy chased the intruder in our backyard. The next morning, our
neighbor to the north, found the remains of their beloved Chihuahua in
their front yard. When Animal Control picked up the remains we were told
coyotes are too fast to catch and almost impossible to trap.

A week later the coyote showed up in our backyard again, this time
staring down our dog. I dashed from the shower to the backyard to find
the coyote advancing on our beloved pet. With much shouting and arm
waving the coyote jumped from the middle of our backyard to our six foot
wall in one leap!!!

Just two weeks ago we were returning from a Dodger game to find the
coyote running down our street which was filled with many people walking
and others walking their pets. With a lot a commotion the coyote
disappeared into a yard several doors south of our home. As we walked into
our family room, who should be surveying the landscape from our wall ---
Mr. Wiley Coyote!!! This animal is becoming more fearless by the day - -
so much so that we have cell phone photos of it on our back wall.
