Coyote sighting on Santa Cruz

My family and I live on Santa Cruz Rd. and our backyard faces Santa Rosa.
On Sunday night (July 25th), a coyote was on the other side of our back fence getting
ready to jump over. I immediately made loud noises and he ran away.

Tonight, my son-in-law was relaxing in our backyard and saw the coyote on
the other side of the fence, again. He threw a tennis ball at the fence
and the coyote gnarled at him before dashing away.
Something has to be done about this. I doubt this is the last time we will
see him...
