My neighbor's dog (as well as many other neighborhood dogs) have been
attacked and killed in their fenced back yards by coyotes who easily leap
over the block wall. Just because you have not witnessed this, does not
mean that it hasn't happened. I know of three neighbors who witnessed it.

My neighbor has had the coyote in her fenced back yard 5 times. No fruit,
no dog food left out and they are very responsible pet owners. And the
city along with the Humane Society have done many things to educate
Arcadians.

Direct mailings, newsletter articles and utility bills now have notices.
If you don't live in our city, you would not have seen them.
Unfortunately, a few wild animal lovers choose to feed them. We all
suffer from their actions.
